Tunnel View Lookout

Photographs of Tunnel View Lookout, Glenbrook National Park, Glenbrook, in the lower Blue Mountains of NSW

Tunnel View Lookout, a great place to photograph, is aptly named because across Glenbrook Gorge is the railway line that runs into the tunnel before Glenbrook Station. You can drive to it in a vehicle but care needs to be taken on the steep dirt fire trail just before getting to the lookout. It is one of my favourite places to take photographs in the Lower Blue Mountains because it is not fenced off and the views are spectacular and the sunsets are amazing I have been going there regularly for 25 years and I never lose the feeling and desire to photograph there. In the distance looking west you can see Mt Banks and Mt Wilson. To the east is Sydney.

Photographing around Tunnel View

As you can see the photograph was taken late afternoon with clouds overhead that  trail along over the gorge. Some of the  photos below were taken on the same day this one was taken. I just loved the way the clouds added to the wild beauty of Glenbrook National Park.

This photograph was taken a bit later than the one above, just before sunset. I loved the way the light sculptured the hills.
